vin#
using the vin #,( or if there is another way of finding this info), from my 1972 (C10?) truck, where can I find out how it came stock, color, engine, interior, etc. It has been customized and I would like to find out as much as possible about the stock specifics. I would also like any suggestions about crate engines in the 350hp range, I plan to use an automatic transmission and 4/11 gears.

mccoy1, what year is your truck? You might get a quicker response if you post this question in the forum for your particular year. Welcome to the forum!

You can try checking www.americanclassic.com
They have a good VIN Decoder, however, I don't believe the VIN will give you all those details. |

If you still have the original glove box door. Just open and look on the inside of the decal sheets. Gives allot of extra information.
