I am thinking of reusing the original 3 spd bell housing crossmember as the rear crossmember for the new 350/ 700r4 transmission mount. I am using the engine mounts from the donor 91 suburban and the 3spd crossmember may be too low, as it looks now the engine and transmission are on a angle, should it be level ?

    2. I have looked at using a aftermarket crossmember but they all look like they mount differently than my 700r4, they all show a center plate with 2 holes in. The 700r4 mounts with 2 bolts on the transmission with a molded rubber isolator that only has 1 bolt sticking down instead of the 2 in all the aftermarket crossmembers. Any one know why ? confused in Tulsa...

Thanks in advance for your help.......Kieth
