I can't get the left rear brake drum off. The trucks been setting up for 17 years. I can turn the drum backward by hand but its froze solid when I try to turn it forward.
The parking brake handle doesn't indicate it's set..but, then...I know that doesn't mean anything.

    Suggestions...?

brakes are made to work better in forward than reverse, so the forward rotation may be causing them to set. Try a little heat or spraying WD 40 in there and letting it set for a while. JUST BE CAREFUL IF YOU USE HEAT AFTER USING THE WD 40, IT WILL BURN. Gently tapping with a hammer will help sometimes.
