use a long, strong length of thin rope and put it into the channel of the glass rubber. lubricate the rubber with soap . put the windshield in place and get an edge of the rubber started, than pull the rope slowly all the way around and the rubber should slip right into place.

Pretty much as said. You might have to use a blunt, med-to thin paint stick ( plastic scrapper ) not to wide round the corners a bite. You get the idea. There is two types or rubbers but the most common on the front would be the one with the liner of plastic strip that goes around the rubber gasket. This has a alum tub( shiny or satin black) at the bottom that the plastic is held in you have to gently pop it out pull the plastic strip out of one end( side).Of the channel in the rubber gasket. it goes all the way around it helps keep the window snug you put it back in the same way you get it out. If you have this type it has to be taken out first. Then you work the edge or the rubber around the window take your time a putty knife maybe better here at this time till you get it to start to pop up a little "take your time oh a warm day helps the rubber. You may have to work the putty knife around the inside edge & outside edge to make sure the rubber un-stickes and find out if someone put glue, silicone, buttle, for leaks it was leaking. Because if you had a leak and someone did that and it cut to let the window off the glass it can crack the window. The factory in stall should be a little soapy water and the rubber gasket and the plastic strip if you’re is that type. They do sell some sticks for window rubbers at auto store. But you can make the paint stick work sand down or willed down a bit of a tapper to make it a bit thinner depend on your stick how thick it is to start with. I like the wieth to be about 1" to 7/8" wide if you do both sides of the stick you can make one side wider than other one. You will have to just take your time work at it easy a extra set of hands helps mostly once it start to move up just to keep light pressure on the inside till you can work the rubber on the edge of the glass, you may work around the window a few time in this process. Till it get up enough to start popping the rubber under the glass then genenty slide the putty knife at the right angle so you can or stick if there is enough room.
slide it under the glass on top of the rubber have inside hands keeping light pressure where the putty knife is sliding and just a bit in front all the way around the window. Go slow work the tool easy and the window easy.
Some times they pop right out other time it may pop out and back in as you go down the rubber gasket . When you put the window back in I find make sure it centered in the gasket as best you can same goes for the Plastic strip gasket.

This is a hand on job mostly it's hard to tell someone easy to show some then it all in the touch how much you can get away with for pressure not to much some time very touchy in the cold!

    I hope this helps
