i have an 87 k10 with a factory bench seat. i would like to replace it with a split bench or buckets with a center console. has anyone does this before or knows what year truck would be the easiest to use for my swap. i was thinking of using the front seat from a early to mid 90's fullsize chevy or possibly the dodge ram front seats because the center console flips up and would allow room for a third passenger. thanks for the help
Bucket seats from a '73-'91 Burb or crew cab will fit with little work. Just need the front inner seat mounts. I put a set in my truck a year and a half ago. http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/interior/factory_buckets.htm
'03 GM w/ built in seatbelts dont work I tried these in my '74 GMC and they are too tall (the bottom of the seat) for me. Maybe if you're 5'10 MAX. I looked at '99 dodge seats and they would require extensive mods to the brackets. Ford is next on my list to look at because I really want the built in belts.
I really like the idea of the built in belts, i know some dodges have this and those seats are very comfortable but i think it would be a lot of work to mount the brackets. What year ford seats were you considering?
