[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-06 AT 07:10 PM (CST)]I was wondering if anyone has bought the tubular crossmember / V8 conversion kit. I am tring to install a 383 stroker and a 700r4, into a 55 chevy 3600 so i bought the motor and transmission mounts from Chevy Duty and I can get the trans mount to line up and fit inbetween the frame, but not the engine x-member. If I switch the ends from trans to engine mount it fits, but not both mounts at the same time. Any Help Would Be Helpful!!!

    Thanks Scott

I believe i had to cut down the length of both sides of the cross member to fit into the frame rail then i just clamped the ends in place, hung the motor lightly and tacked the brackets. Hope this helps,

Ps i think i had to cut the trans mount to to get the mounts to fit on the frame
