I am pretty full of myself today. Last night I installed the windshield in my 50 GMC with the help of my wife and daughter. It took a grand total of about 15 minutes, and I was amazed how smooth it went after spending most of last weekend wrestling the back and corner glasses into the cab.

The only tips I would add that are not in the instructions of the link I am posting below are.....Put the glass in the rubber moulding and let it get used to the idea for a couple of days, and use plenty of super soapy water or the lube of your choice.

These are the instructions I followed, courtesy of the Old GMC website.
