Rear brake drum removal

    I have a 61 Apache and I am having trouble removing the rear brake drum. Anyone have advice on removing the drum? Thanks

    A liberal shot of WD 40 or other penatrating oil around the lug studs. Let it sit for 10 minutes. With mini sledge, or some other implement of destruction, in hand, " firmly " start rapping the sides of the drum all around the perimeter. Don't go nuts with the hammer, just enough persusion to break the crud loose. The drum should give it up in short order.

    Try spraying it with PBR, it's alot better than WD40. And if all those other tricks fail use a drum puller. You should be able to rent one from autozone, napa or whatever you have around you.
