Fuel Gauge Problem

I have a 71 C10 and the fuel gauge will only show a 1/4 tank when the tank is full. I have installed a new sending unit but still have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I was hoping you would get a reply, I have the exact same problem in my 83 C10

Well I would check + side to the sending unit or the + side from the gauge to the tank. Unless your gauge got a power spike and is no good. Another thing check the
circuit board to make sure that nothing melted crossed.
