just wanna say hi to all. and i look forward to talking to most about the one thing we all got in common. I got a 74' chev in6 got lots of ?'s. first is how to switch for manual steering to either power assist or power steering?

You can go to your local parts store and pruchase a power steering box and pump for your model/year truck. You will have to eat the core charges unless you have an old one laying around. The problem you are going to run into is brackets and pulleys for an I6. Check our host or maybe Alan Grove for that kind of set up. I don't know if the steering shaft needs any mods, you'll need to check into that.
