Quote "The DA fuel pumps are usually hooked up bass-ackwards ~ the wiper motor hose goes to the intake of the fuel pump then the outlet of the fuel pump is connected to the port on the intake manifold ~ this way the highest vacuum source is always connected to the wipers and they'll flip-flop like <magic> regardless of engine speed or load . (dead silent too)
You don't really need a vacuum resivoir for the power brakes , just ensure there's a one way check valve in the 1/2" hose leading to them ."

Well, I hooked everything up yesterday per the above (thanks for the manifold fitting Russ!) and the wipers flip right over to wipe the windshield but don't want to flop to park until I manually switch them off. I assume that the driver isn't supposed to switch them on and off
to get the wipers to flip-flop back and forth. Any advice on how to remedy the vacuum system (short of going electric) would be welcome.
