RE: tune up specs for 454

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Nov-06-03 AT 00:03 AM (CST)]what kinda specs are you looking for? plug electode gaps?
I have a question of my own. i recently bought a 78 1ton dually and it ran. not well but it ran and one day i just quite. it ran rally rough so i gave it a compression test and it had 148-150 cranking psi in each cylinder. so i figured it was the timing chain was loose. I tore in to it and found that it had a new double roller timeing chain. so the timeing chain was not the problem. The marks were aligned correct, too. do you think it could be the cam? So any help would be greatly Appreciated.

RE: tune up specs for 454

the specs i am looking for are the ignition timing, idle speed, plugs etc. - basically everything that is in a "Chiltons" I have one but it starts a couple of years later.

As for your problem not enough info for me troubleshoot long distance - good luck
