I just bought a 1956 chevy stepside pickup and I need some help decoding the vin#V3B56L009516 any help would be great. Thanks
if I am correct, the V at the beginning of the vin no. means the truck originally had a V8 in it (I know it does for my '58)
Go to www.americanclassic.com click on VIN Decoder on the lower left enter your vin numbers and your done. J255K029500 is a 1955 1500 assembled in Kansas City MO seq#029500
1956 Vin # My VIN # is 3B56 0 018164 ... the Vin tag uses a " zero" for the "O" in Oakland I'm assumming. Is it common for a " zero" to used for the "O" on the VIN tag ? Thanks !
