im trying, we have lived together for a few years, i had ot tell her she wouldnt be able ot get rid of me for anything, shes small and weak, i told her i would just sit down and go limp. She would never be able to move me. The car sits at her dads, who has damn near a junkyard in the back. I havent gotten to see the car yet. I imagine it is not in great shape, but he says it is hers whenever she is ready for it. Little does he know i WILL haul it out of there ________ TOYOTA PROGR?S
Kevin, What you say about the color looking different under different light sources has a name. I will bore you guys with a bit of trivia from an earlier occupation. That is called metamerism. You have to watch it when you buy things under flourescent that you are going to use under incandescent. Okay, now I will go back to sleep. Bill
I was having a brain fart at the moment and the name just would not come to me. It is very true about the lighting though. I work with a guy who though he was buying an electric blue tool box. It turned out to be vibrant purple when it came off of the truck. You should have seen his face, it was priceless.
My '54 is "BMW" dark blue metallic So I vote go for it. That paint can be matched with any good color matching system currently in most of the top shelf collision centers. Looks nice and will be different
Go metallic! Blue, green, red any color! Metallic adds a touch of class. I saw a bluish grey metallic on a new GMC truck the other day and fell in love with it. I haven't seen another one like it and can see it in my future! Check out all the new colors, walk through car lots, something will grab you and say: "you love me, you want to have me!" Have fun with it and don't get frustrated! Frustration will be trying to sweet-talk g/f's daddy out of that '69 Chevelle!
Hey 54 Chevy the actual name of your color should be mystic blue metallic. One of my favorite colors on those BMW's I agree with Ken, walk the lots and find what you like. Then all you have to do is ask their parts dept. what the paint code is and there you have it.
' The Hottest Thing ' InDEED Why you young whippersnapper ! everyone knows the hottest car is a '55 Chevy Coupe..... -Nate
See Kevin? Green IS a good color. And that's a flat, NON-METALLIC! Just like federale's flat red(?) truck- notice how those chrome wheels stand out! Flat black doesn't look to bad... I'm color blind, so that blue- no wait! PURPLE tool box was something that would happen to me!
I'm saving the flat painting for when I make a rat rod out of the 32 chevy coupe. Flat black with the red wheels and baby moons and some kind of saying or number on the side in off white. As far a my baby, she'll be as shiny as I can get it. I love those metallic colors.
Baby Moons? Man, i needed that! Make sure and get you some "Moon eye" decals to put on it somewhere (Rat rod, not your truck)
Of course, you gotta have moon eye decals right on the side of the cowl. Man these rat rods are a cool ride!!
hey Kyle check this one out. I visited the stove bolt page to find this one. http://www.streetsource.com/viewownerprofile.aspx?profileid=35161
Nice Find! That truck is sweet. I wonder if it is the same color. I kind of hope it is. I think that rigg looks pretty sexy ________ PLYMOUTH VOYAGER 3 SPECIFICATIONS
Kyle, i saw that truck on Stovebolt the other day. 1SIK52 is the proud owner. Someone asked him what color is was and he said it was a special mix by DuPont. You might want to go to www.stovebolt.com and see if you can pry some more info from him. That's a really nice ride he has.
Thats definately not the same color as the vette. The truck is a candy color for sure. Blow up some of the pictures of the hood and the back of the cab and you can tell it's a candy. This is one of the best looking customs I've seen in a while. I love how he can just put it on the ground.
Sweet . I gotta ask : doesn't anyone know what the hell ' Old School ' means ? there is absolutely nothing Old Scholl about that totally wild & cool custom .
I AM GETTING READY TO order my air bag kit from fatman fab when my tax return comes in april. I am still trying to figure out how to configure the bed, but itll be able to sit on the ground as well. ________ Suzuki rv125
Old School? You mean like checking the mailbox everyday to see if the latest copy of Hot Rod magazine had arrived so that you could see if Don Garlitts had broken 200 mph+ in one his of new rails? Or dreaming of a cherry duece coupe knowing if you got one, the first thing that you'd do would be take the fenders and runningboards off, drop a chevy V8 in it, big tires in back, dropped axle in front, lake pipes, and drag for pink slips? Or going to car shows hoping that George Barris, King of Kustomizers, had at least one of his wild customs there? That kind of old school?
