Okay guys so lets talk about that remote brake fluid reservoir again. This time I've got answers and pictures to show. I found a company at the good guys show that had them on display. It was a billet alluminum master cylinder cover with a braided hose coming out of billet alluminum reservoir. The hose comes in 3 and 4 foot hose. I'm going to go with a 4 foot hose because a little too long is better than a little too short. It is made to fit on a corvette style master. I also bought a corvette style master, booster, pedal, and brackets, but from a different guys because it was much cheaper for the same quality. He said that you could mount the remote reservoir anywhere but the most popular was under the hood at the bottom of the firewall or behind the drivers seat on the inside of the cab. Myself I like the bottom of the firewall, I don't like the idea of pooring brake fluid in the floor of my nice newly rebuilt hot rod. So any way here are a few pictures of what it looks like. The green truck is an AD like ours and the picture on the stand just lets you get the idea of how it works. The name of the company that sold this kit was called coyote rodders supply phone #877-935-8880 and sold for $165. I'm trying to find it for cheaper so if you guys see it or if CP has this then buy it from them if not give this company a call because I know they have it.

O.K. , pic # 3 & 4 interest me as that looks like a close to bolt up deal......

    I bet they're selling the setup in pic # 1 as " billet " when it isn't....

The whole " billet " thing is way overdone esp. since 99 % of the crap isn't billet at all .

FWIW , aluminum and brake fluid are a poor mix as anyone with LBC experiance will tell you ~ it has a short service life due to corrosion .:(

Wouldn't the cap of the dual have a rubber boot keeping the fluid away? That leaves the remote fill which would be easier to inspect. (?)

That looks like a great set-up. At least now I see the idea behind how it hooks up- and man does that look like a way to avoid screwing with the carpet or crawling under the truck with a mirror, just so you can pour brake fluid in your eyes!

Thanks Kevin and Nate for both view points. Food for thought...

I should have taken pictures of how the inside was made, stupid me. Oh well, the master does have a rubber plunger that keeps the fluid away from the alluminum. The remote reservoir has rubber in it as well so the fluid should not come in contact with the alluminum in it either. I'm most likely going to order this setup pretty soon so when it comes in I'll post some pics of how it is made.

Nate the brake assembly in pics 3&4 looked very close to a direct bolt up for original and was bought for cheap. I only paid $175 for it when normally they sale for $260 plus. The guy is going out of business and had everything marked down. I have his number if anyone is interested I will give it to you. Too bad I will still have to fabricate a bracket to mount it to my frame since I am doing the S-10 swap, but it should still work out nicely.

    Wow CHEAP ! :)

I'd really like that but realistically , I'm not going to do any more heavy work on my old truck unless it dies... :(

Wow cool article there Bill. So does it tell you step by step how to convert your heads into a hemi. Thoughts are going through my mind and the gears are turning. Dad has a 46 dodge that would look good with a hemi convert stuck in it.

Ken- I don't know about you. (the wizard of posting pictures... my brother, why didn't I get some of that skill???)

Kevin, thanks- the cops came in and gave me a speeding ticket just for LOOKING at those two photos! Crap, what a car!
"Zoom zoom" is a mild sedative to what that car'd crank out!

That was an advertisement from Micky Thompson, not an article. The aluminum heads went for $1000 a pair (in 1962 dollars). Intake valve size was 2 3/16". Jack Chrisman won '62 NHRA Nationals using these heads.
