Maybe we are suffering from lack of Ken. Anyway, I thought I'd let you see what correct gearing, tall tires and slight modification can do to a GMC 6. http://youtube.com/watch?v=wF_qjB3iqzE
I agree, Bill. Nate's got everyone on track and it looks as though no one has questions. I logged on and heard friggin' crickets. My 'puter at work won't let me view the movie- go figure. Thanks anyway, Bill! I'll try it in the privacy of my own home! A G 6 with over 300HP? Uses hugs and kisses fuel... (XXO) (?) I have a picture I can't wait to post- This weekend, I hope. It will make Kevin SOOOO jealous! (my new front lift kit for my truck!)
Front end lift kit for a GMC, huh? I thought that was two 8 inch cinder blocks. Couldn't resist, Zig. I too had noticed how quiet it was around here. Gater
i have some new progress on the 53 build if you want to have a look http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=215079&page=6 only if your bored..... planning on going to paint in a week or so. just ordered the 1k antique air set up. i plan on installing it this weekend Greg
it's because i haven't been on here asking silly questions that i should know the answer to or whining about my apendages!! nice video bill! they must've taken the fenders off of that truck to make it more "aerodynamic", eh?? jon
Far as I know, there hasn't been a dipper 6 (or even a full-flow 235/261) that has broken 300 MPH at Bonneville yet. This beast uses a GMC 302 long motor. If I remember right, you make a 321" GMC by boring .125" and stroking .125", making it 4.125x4.125
Too Quiet I talked to a gent from Long Beach , Ca. who built a streamliner with a Jimmy 302 and went to Bonneville with it , interesting fellow to be sure . Sadly my work too blocks youtube and I'm on dailup here @ home . Hopefully , all you folks are too busy having fun with your old GM trucks to be posting here...
