I am new to the forum.I just acquired this GMC about 3 months ago.I had been looking for a GMC specifically for over 3 years.Tried the Ebay thing, "professional locators" ect.I was just about ready to give up, or worse yet buy "3 year project" in Wash. state. Low and behold I found this in Boise about 20 miles away. I have found about 90% of parts I've need from classic, but I will be asking for advice and imput as my baby gets further along.
Not a 6, has an acceptable 350 and th350 and 77 Cutlass non-posi rear end.Surprisingly it gets decent gas mileage. My plan at present is to just have a fun, clean daily driver. I've got some before and after pics and "in progress" stuff I will get them on here soon. thanks
Thats awesome I love seeing the trucks out on the road thats what they were made for to be driven and admired by onlookers
50g FiddyG~ Cool looking truck! Another G no less! I love your truck~ especially the turn/running lights! I'll be pm'ing you about those unless you post pictures and give us info! Let me just say WELCOME! You'll need a napkin to wipe off the drool from all the wanna-be bow ties here. They have those pretty little grills, but not the guts that us G owners have... We humor them, anyway. Seriously~ This here is the best place you could imagine being except for two other places. (1) Behind the wheel of your own AD, or (2) As my big bro says, MORE PICTURES dangit!
I knew it was just a matter of time before Zig and his over compensating for Chevy envy was going to show up. That is one great looking truck though, regardless of the hood emblem. More pics! We must have more pics! Gater
Just think G~ There's one right down the road from you complete with a V-Nate AND ram horns! What the H are you waiting for? They (Gs) cost more than bow ties, remember? Hell, if the engines good, I may pay that much to come get some parts! =^)
Wow another G! Watch out Cs, we are rapidly accumulating on this site! Welcome aboard! BTW Zig, have you ever tried Seven Deadly Zins? It is a red zinfandel and it is quite tasty! I will not drink a white, but this red is worth trying. Thought I would let you know. Right now I am working on a bloody mary.... I will swich to a pinot noir later this evening.
welcome 50 g!! don't be shy with using your first name around here. we won't bite (i don't think) check out the archives! lots of great info!! jon
Pics I Hope Here are some Pics.Sorry I dont have pictures from the back end but....... I need to not show you the sagging cab and other things that make these trucks FUN. If rust scares you ...Turn away!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome Baby!!! What a fun looking ride you have there 50G! All put together and ready to roll. As it should be! Nice running lights. At first I thought they might be something different... I also like the "flip-down" GMC hood emblem! Thanks for the pictures~ I love the format you're able to post. It's like the kind I'd love too, but mine are always to dang big. Do those allow for more than 300 megathingies? Thumbnails on here don't allow for much. I have a big-bertha camera that has to munch all kinds of space, so I'm stuck posting in the gallery. Anyway~ Good on ya! G-R-E-A-T ride!!!!
My little bro is jeenyus at doing forum stuff he is a moderator on several boards.I can hook you up tomorrow with him and get you set up. Brad
I'll drink to that! For me, it's all about red. (The blood of Christ, you know?) Cab or Mer... A fine way to end a day. Once I get my truck rolling, a ride around the block will top _most_ anything!
Why Gs rule... All you have to do is look at Brad's pictures! Come on everyone~ That's slick, isn't it?! I am assuming this is a five lug ride? Discs up front? A clip of some kind? Whatever, I've spent a bunch of time admiring that beautiful chrome!!!!
Great looking Jimmy Great looking Jimmy. I wish mine was closer to that condition. I have been on pause for a couple of years, had to move, and some other reasons including, My give-a-shifter quit working for a while. Scott.
