I've had a few myself. I used to love building model cars and trucks too. Unfortunately, my eyesight and patience, or lack thereof, prevents me from building little ones now. Guess I'll stick to the big ones!;)

    Diecasts are fun to collect

About a month ago I was grocery shopping and passed a Hot Wheels display where a La Troca caught my eye. When it was being rung up, the asst mgr said, "Hey this is like a customer's truck out in the parking lot!" I replied, "Yep, it's mine." He then followed me out to the parking lot and asked me all about my '49, and to sit in it. Of course I said yes, and then took a picture of him with my camera phone and emailed it to him before driving off. Later that week, I ran into he and his family at a restaurant, and he treated my like his long-lost brother!!!

All this because of a Hot Wheels car, go figure!?!?!?

I'm still looking for a green '48 - I've only found a '50 which my grandson (and I) thinks is the greatest... ;>)

I found one a while back from Jada. It was pacaged as Jesse James' shop truck. It is light blue with "Bling's Auto Sales" on the door. It has white walls and an up, down suspension on it. It is the best casting I have ever seen on one of these and I haven't been able to find any more.

    Diecast Models

Yeah , a few years ago there was a real uptick in the interest in these so most gas stations had lots of different diecast models , I waited until they had a white one (my '49 is white0 then bought it for $5.00 ;)
