    Well we got the coils out like Matt wants its looks good lowed mocked the bags on the frame were we are putting the bags its coming along slowly.

    It will be C-Notced pretty soon,after we get the motor back from rebuilding the 283 in few mounths the front will be lowed,I think its starting to look good:D.I have a really good friend (convertible John) help us along the way he is good at these thing we are learning alot.

    Thanks 62 stepside,just think you, are apart of the project too with the excellent rebuildable 283 block we bought off you about 2 years ago.Since Matthew started part-time job he is going to help get engine payed off sooner we owe about $600.00 and its payed off ready to go back on roadways again.Matts getting really excited that the trucks coming along the way he wants it.:)

    Hey, I like the stance. How many inch drop is that rear end approximately. I want to drop my truck but I'm not sure how much yet.

    Matt's a lucky guy.

    4 inch drop in back, still got a lot of work to go but it come around day by day,thanks LEYLAND.

    yea Matthews pretty good kid hes my only kid so got to try to spend time with him before he leaves home after he finishes school,Im very proud of him:).

    Matt 66 is coming back!!

    My Son Matthew 66 chevy truck he did sale it last year,well the guy that bought it didnt want it anymore they were going sent it to crusher:( NOT Now Matthew and I are going to put the truck back on the road,will take little time but thats ok..

    Looking great!!! How hard was the airbag system to install??? and whats the rear end in it to give you the 5 bolts setup. Are you going to C-notch it?? Kilroy Was Here!!!!

    this is not my 66 convertable truck its a buddy of mine,he doesnt have air bags yet. the frame is a 73-76 chevy truck frame and only took him couple mounths to built it couple winters ago!!he has his own shop now stays pretty busy with costumers:D....

    On my Son Matts 66 truck after we get it home its going to go slowly but we are aiming to get it running and driving by Oct.2008 for big car show:)..

    just curiouse 283man, but why did you guys mount the air bags so far forward on matts truck? ive never seen that done before.

    Matt was mocking it up in different places that day trying to decide were put them:rolleyes:but he sold air bags here will back so were talking about raising it back up putting the springs and shock back in putting a 305 in it that Im buying off 62 short step going with 350 turbo.

    That's a neat project and I'm glad to here it did't wind up being crushed. Once y'all get it done, it will have a "cool factor" right up there with the 'vert that you posted pics of (plus it could be driven in the rain, :D).
