I have a 57 1/2 ton, drum brakes. I am looking for a place to buy self-adjusting brake kits. I saw them some time back, but can't remember where. can anyone help?
Disks are self adjusting, but I suspect that you are speaking of drum brakes. I've never heard of them for our trucks.
Greatest thing since sliced bread! I don't remember exactly when Chevy came out with them, but I know my '63 Chevy Biscayne had self adjusting drum brakes. Just put it in reverse, apply the brake, listen for the pop, pop, pop, and perfectly adjusted brakes happen! Life was good. Try this link.
