Went to the local Saturday night shine and show last night. Parked way over in the corner past all the muscle cars, repop duece roadsters with Chevy 350s and a number of AD and TF trucks was this jewel. Take a guess at what it is.
It appears to be a Huckster or Depot hack and I see it has overhead valves.... Could it be a '29 ? . Nice to see he's still got the vacuum fuel pump working .
Close enough. 1919 Olds. Like this one, only not near as pretty. It did seem to run well. The passenger's side running board may not have been original.
Early Olds Remember the one on the Beverly Hillbillies? That was an Olds. They are easy to spot from the front because of the oval shaped radiator shell (hard to see in your picture though). Bob
Geez Bill, I would never have guessed what it is, however the other side of the engine looks like this. Isn't it strange how old car nut minds travel along the same paths? This drew my attention at the National Olds Show in Dallas a couple years back.
Olds truck Bill and Evan, thank you both for the great pics...fun stuff! I saw one of these trucks a few years ago at the NAOC nationals (not OCA) when it was held nearby in Post Falls, ID. And in Glenn's neck of the woods (sorta), saw a really rusty one sitting among the weeds a few years ago in either Virginia City or Nevada City, MT. Bob
