One of my favorite things to do in my AD is parade! people love to see these trucks as much as we love to drive them. Yesterday my bride and I took an Idea from this site and "Ol Chebby" and put a tree in the back of Thunder and drove to Vidor Texas for their annual Christmas Cruise. What a hoot! Everyone really liked the tree in the truck. I had to buy a store tree because the several candidate field trees I had staked out all got killed a couple of months back by Hurricane Ike's flood surge. Enjoy Jim
Way to go Santa Thunder! Jim, if that won't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what would! Of course, it's kinda tough down here when I worked on forming up the slab for my new garage extension since Friday in shorts and a t-shirt! Kinda reminds me of the movie "Christmas Story". You guys know the one. Poor Ralphie wants that BB gun so bad... Happy Holidays everyone!! Ken
Snorts on Saturday, snow last Wednesday Ok Ken, Remember Wednesday? It never snows in PA, like 5 times in 50 years! Merry Christmas in Texas! Two days later we're all back in shorts. Jim
Nice, I haven't had time to cut me a tree so I just decorated my bed rails this year. Last year I had a 14' tree in the truck.
Too cool! Ah yes~ One of the many things I look forward to doing with my truck when it's rolling again! That's using your AD wisely! It looks like a there was a pretty good turn out. If it was that warm, the only thing I'm wondering is why you didn't have some fishing poles in the back along with that tree?
Oh , Tannenbaum That's GREAT Jim ; Didja illuminate the lights or simply use " Vivid Color " when taking the E-Pic ? .
the lights are on I put my boat battery in the truck bed and a 40 amp 110volt inverter to run Christmas lights on the tree. No interference with the truck wiring, etc. Jim
Next year Ziggy Paul, Your G is coming along so nice, you can park it right next to Thunder, probably take the prizes I used to win at the little shows. I won't be able to hold a candle to you when you get finished. All you will need is Christmas lights. Keep up the good work Zig and thanks for the compliment. Jim
