I hope he gets it Just think guys if he gets 16000 for it that just up the value of our trucks better up the insurance value.
Delusional ...Is the word we're all searching for.... It does appear to be a very nice unrestored truck however.... Some times folks are just ' fishing ' and I've made quite a few bargain purchases off overpriced ads like this over the years...
some guys are just too proud of their junk. I don't know if junk is the right word for that truck, it is nice but not $16,000 nice.
What is the price you would ask for your truck? While some of us cherish our ride, what is it worth to others? That person may need 10K and figured by asking 16K he may hit his mark,or may need that much to pay for his medicine.
Old Truck Value That's a tough question without looking at it and it's geographical location enters into the equasion too . The fact that it appears to be unrestored , raises the sales value in my estimation , of couse the 216 makes it worth _less_ to me in particular . I'd have to inspect it in person and then drive it to know , it looks like it'll have some rust under the floormat and prolly in the cab corners too... Who knows how loose the front end & steering box (!$$!) are... those tires are WORTHLESS as well as dangerous . Here in So. Cal. I'd say maybe $4.5 K TOPS as fully restored ones with some milage are easily found for $5 ~ $6 K..... I know in The Carolinas most are rusted out by now and in parts of the South money is *so* tight values are low... Yes , I am tap dancing around your question but I must as I've not yet seen it .
Wow...this thing is way over-priced. Guess this person thinks they have something rare. Like nate said, geographical location is a key....but I've seen trucks fully restored for half this price tag on your non-local unfavorite auction site (epay). Prices have been dropping quite a bit on pretty much all older vehicles these days with the economy continuing to sink. Projects/unrestored vehicles seem to have taken the biggest hit.
