47,48 behind the cab fill. Does anyone know of a place to get a repop replacement?

    Cowboy357,

Thanks for the link, It is for behind the seat.

I should have stated, "Fuel tank for 47,48 outside between the cab and bed on the passenger side fill. Does anyone know of a place to get a repop replacement? '.

    Early AD Fuel Tank

You should be able to save the old one , look in the 'phonebook under " Gas Tank REnu " and let them have a crack .

If you buya new one , be aware you'll have to clean it and then line it before you ever think of putting fuel in it.....

I posted a thread on building an underbed tank with common tools and have built several since then. Go to "search" and enter "underbed tank". The factory stamped an upper and lower panel and resistance welded them together but you can just brake up a 13x13x24 box, put in a center baffle and a fuel pick up tube and then CAREFULLY measure where the hose nipple goes for the fuel filler. You have factory mount brackets that have the bump in them to clear the center seam but they work fine.

    Charles,
Here is a pic of the tank that I had a local metal fab guy make. It cost about $250 and is made of aluminum.

    Thanks Evan and Gater,
I sent the thing off, the people around here want more to build things than the guys in Orange want for a under bed one.
I do not have the place or tools to make anything here.
