I am having a new ring gear and pinion put in my 65 C10. has anyone installed an Eato locker in one of these trucks? I just had the tranny changed out to a 700r4(very happy with the drop in rpms). it will cost an additional $500.00.to do this.Is it worth the effort and cost if you need additional traction occasionally such as pulling up a boat ramp? thanks for any input. raking.

It's only worth it when you need it. There was a few times in Alaska that the one wheel wonder just wasn't getting the job done. I did think about adding a locker myself. Instead I just added more sand bags in the winter.

I would go with the locker. What gear ratio are you going with?
