    Robert,
If you can't find the info out in a catalog. You can divide the number of teeth on the pinon gear into the number of teeth on the ring gear you will get the ratio.

Alternatively, you can use Nate's method of marking a tooth on the pinion and turn it one full turn and count the number of teeth on the ring that pass.

It works for low ratio's but he has trouble on the high ratio's as I'm not sure he has all his fingers!! Here in Tennessee, we run barefoot in the hollar's and can get up to a 20:1 ratio.

    thanks

    thanks
looks like i will have to pull the cover off and make sure not to stick my fingers in the gears
the gears maybe 3.73 if so should be fine for my 52
    to at least get 65mph
i hope to do the swap in the next few weeks.

The standard rear end for the '69-70 K5 Blazer was indeed the 3.73. They did offer 2 other rear ends as options. 3.07 to 1 and 4.11 to 1. I haven't been successful in matching the #'s, but I'm still looking.
