Hi I have not posted for a while, but wanted to pass this tip on to you all. My 60's parking lights never worked, this is due to the fact that there was no wiring to the parking light circuit. I decided to wire the parking lights to the low beam light circuit. I had added relays to the high/low beam so I just tapped into the lead coming from the realy to the low beam headlight . easy . Having not had parking lights this worked out for me here is a link on what to do if you have working parking lights: http://www.6066gmcguy.org/parklamp6063.htm and this is what mine look like when they are on , not to bad
That looks good, my parking lights only work without the headlights on; either headlights or parking lights. Do your blinkers work with the parking lights on?
yes the turn signals work with the lights on,if you look at yours you will see that there are two wires going to the turnsignal/parking lights so they are two seperate circuits
Here is a way of doing the same thing in about 10 minutes. Jumper at the headlight switch... http://www.persh.org/pickup/Headlights.htm OOPS !! Wrong link.. That one is for installation of headlight relay's, ( which is worth doing too !! Here is the correct one. It's for a GMC but it's pretty much the same procedure.. http://www.6066gmcguy.org/parklamp6466.htm dv
