Well i got the disks on and now i found that the calipors are rubbing on the inside of the wheels so sunday my buddys comming over to see if we can possibly take a little off the wheel or calipor Im going to leave the backs drum so hopefully i wont have to buy new wheels.http://www.classicperform.com/sixlug.htm
That's BEAUTIFUL, Ron! I can't wait until mine is that far along! So was it as simple as it sounds? Did you run into any other problems than the wheels? Thanks for the post, it looks GREAT!
How much rub? My 6 lug disk kit came with a set of spacers that are less than 1/4" thick. I didn't need them because my wheels/tires cleared. I'd be glad to mail them to you if they would be thick enough to solve your problem. I'll try to find them and get a measurement today.
problems So far rubbing on the calipars is the only thing. Bill I dont think quater inch will do but ill let you know thank you I dont know why your stock wheel worked and mine wont I heard that there are several type of stock wheels mine arent the ones that work.
You can check the set back order ones that have that certain measurement. There is a chart that someone posted a long time ago, just can not find it. Maybe some of the other guys know where it is. Also I think Bill has a Task Force/GMC Model pick-up.
My wheels aren't stock. They are mid-70's Chevy 4x4 1/2 ton 15" wheels. Same as the calipers and rotors used in the conversion kit I used on my truck.
