Happy New Year to all you guys! Special Bonus tonight? A "Blue Moon"! I'll be watching for it as I stay safe and sound on the back porch tonight! My special wish is that no one in the world gets taken out by a drunk driver! If you guys go out, play it safe! We got plenty of problems to solve next year!

What a great year though, we should all be grateful for the time we have on this earth. No matter what we go through it is for the good we can know that for sure. Nate you have helped me out this year a lot with my old truck. So thanks!!! Ken you too!!! Everybody else on this forum thanks!!!! its nice to be a part of this small network of friends. So thanks to all for a great year. This next year I will be driving my truck around thanks to all here, especially Paul (ZIG)!!! and all his kindness and generosity!

    Thanks, brother~

I only held the keys to my garage ... where I admired that big, beautiful moon reflecting off the black paint that lays on your oil bath breather you sent me. NICE!
If the year to come was like tonight, I'm ready for 2010! ;)

    I Did _Nothing_

Different than any of the other fine people in this forum would have done , I just happened to respond first occasionally .

Remember : the best thing to keep your old truck running sweetly is : DRIVE IT ! (note another clever use of the World Famous CHEVROLET BLUE , GMC's are usually broken anyways or unwanted so who cares about GMC RED  .

    Oh oh !

I'd better go run and hide under my '49 untill the PO'd Jimmy Guys cool off :p

    :D

    :)

    Black eyed peas!

Is eating black eyed peas on New Year's Day for luck a southern thing or does everyone do it? I ate mine today, along with cabbage (for money, yet another southern thing)! Of course, I had to smoke a pork loin and top it off with good ol' cornbread!

I'm fat and sassy on the first day of 2010!:D

I had some Black Eyed Peas & Ham last night about mid-night then some more to-night .

Lessee now : I'm a (damn) Yankee born & bred but I now live in the South West , SWMBO is from Oaklahoma ..... a ' Southern thing ' ? WHO CARES ?! it's TASTY grub ! :D

If I get some luck out of it , all the better .

Could a feller just LISTEN to black eyed peas and smoke some "pork"? Would it all equal out?
I did say to heck with mother nature today and scraped the snow out of my outdoor firepit so I could grill some chicken for white chilli and then finished off the fire with some steaks. I really would rather have the snow out of here, but it looks like it won't be melting anytime soon...
    ~sigh~
