    Europeen made Volvo small truck from Gotenburg

    Project truck Made 500 totally.
    6 cyl. side valve engine
    Volume 3.67 liter
    Compression 6,5:1 90 HP.
    Mecanic fuel pump with Carter downdraft carb.
    3 on the colum with Kick down overdrive
    Max speed 140 km hour.
    Fuel usage 1 - 1.5 liter pr.mile
    Hydr. drum brakes
    6 volts system

    Bill,
    That's exactly what I was thinking! That equates to 5-6 MPG, prolly why they only made 500 of them. Too bad I love the 40's Willy look. Drop a 350 in it and improve your milage...hey. Those Norskies are rolling in North Sea oil I guess.

    I forgot to tell that one swedisch mile is exact 10 km. So it is`nt that bad.
    Regular petrol 95 octane cost about 13 Skr. a liter = 2 dollars and 100 cent.

    When I was a teenager my parents had a couple different PV-544s from '58 to '63. You can see the resemblance around the windshield and upper part of the doors. Cool.

    Saw a few of these volvo's while out in sweden, thought they were cool trucks, like a lot of the older volvo stuff

    Easy to see they cribbed the grille & fenders from an American design , to me it looks like ly old 1939 Dodge sedan .

    I want to see pictures of the blue bus behind it......
