Hi there im finally getting to the point of putting my front fenders back on. Im just about done painting. Is there a good way to go about putting the fenders, inner fenders, grill and radiator support togehter in my 54 1 ton pickup. As i look at it apart it looks like a nightmare trying to get it all put back together and lined up. If any one has any tips, tricks, or hints i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance
Hey Jake, If you go back a few pages you will see that there is a title called "How to assemble an AD". It is very thorough. Ol' Chebby does fantastic restoration work far more pain staking then most of us. He has about 7 pages of great pictures from paint room to final assembly. Are you from Ellsworth AFB, SD? Flashlight
Ditto... Russ has definitely posted a future sticky. I cannot thank Russ enough for his post of "How to assemble an AD". His photo-illustrated diary has been a great help. Is our moderator/host listening?????? Greg P.S. I did find it easier to put the headlight buckets in after the front fender/inner fender assembly was installed. I just liked having that hole to hold onto while installing the bolts to the upper and lower radiator support.
