I was just about to crank the engine this weekend so I filled all the fluids. Added anti-freeze only to discover a leak in the rear freeze plug [this is the one behind the bell housing]. I had replaced all other freeze plugs; just not this one. Now I have to pull the whole engine to get to it. All this for a part that cost $1.25!!!! Say a few expletives with me...!@$%#&*)%# Greg
Well ain't that a kick in the crotch. That's not the way you want to start a weekend, that's for sure! I just put "replace ALL freeze plugs" on my checklist of things to do while the motor is out.
Sorry, we've all been there. I know you won't let this happen again!! Here'a a Bud for you my friend. Flashlight
Sorry to hear that, doing things over and over gets to ya. But once you have it down the driveway and on to the Interstate seems to be all worth it. Hang in there.
Like The Sailor Once Said : Aint' that a kick in the head ? At least you'll know it's done right now .
I'm sorry for you! I guess this will be another good reason to get my 228 breathing again, before I put on the front sheet metal...
