Hey guys I am looking fore an adres where to buy an allweather waterproof outdoor truck cover that protects against (rain , sun , snow ) . The ones that are ready made fore the short/long bed trucks. Any idea where i could buy such a solid cover ? Martinius.
I've been looking for one as well. The folks I've spoken to have recommended the Wolf NOAH cover. They make one for the short bed and it's available from Car Cover USA for about $275.
try california car cover in chatsworth ,ca. i don't know the web address but i'm sure if you look under califonia car cover you'll find it. Bobby
Vehicle Covers IMO ; It is better to buy one of those canvas ' garages ' and pot the steel legs into 5 gallon buckets will with cement ~ I did this and it works great . Failing to pot the legs , means it WILL fly around and bang up your vehicle before disintegrating .
shelter I bought a 12x20 shelter from Shelter Logic through Northern tool supply for soemwhere inteh price range of $350 US. I used apost hole digger and placed 6, 12 inch wide columns 3 foot deep (one at each corner and one each side center) it has stood up fine and the only complaint I have is there is no wat to keep the door open when you want to drive in or out of it , which i fixed by putting a piece of half inch pvc pipe in the seam at teh bottom of the door and some velcro to hold it up once rolled up and out of the way. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200148624_200148624
Keep the wind in mind... Every year we have one or more storms with 45 to 60 mph winds here in South Texas. I'd hate to see someone's truck damaged like that.
Canvass Garage Listen to the comments about the canvass garage and wind! I had one and in our chinook winds a few years ago, it was picked up and tossed over the fence. Fortunately, it did no damage to my 57, but my 4 day old 2007 GMC had about $1000 damage!
This Is Why...... I made the comments about potting ALL the legs ! . I had a Japanese pickup get heavily damaged before I learned this lesson . I then got a new one and 6 5 gallon buckets , filled each bucket to nearly the top with quick dry Cement , everyone said only a little bit would suffice , those boobs don't have my '49 Chevy or old Metropolitan Nash FHC parked underneath it so I did it _correctly_ and it's been fine through several 80 MPH wind storms without any problems whatso ever .
Truck Cover Martinius, Do you mean a cover that fits directly onto the truck rather than a canvas covered pipe arrangement? I found one at a K-Mart -- if that is what you want, I will look at the company name and information & send it to you.
Grandpa Glenn and others . The adresses or suggestions mentioned before are not selling the truck cover i am thinking of. I would like to buy a canvas cover that fits directly and if posseble impregnated with some weather resistent fluid like silicon ? If you know where they make these i would apriciate the information where to buy one. Most abliged Martinius.
Try: http://www.touchlesscarcover.com/ Interesting but they could be exspensive but then again a real bargain if you need to get your machine out of the weather in a hurry. It may not fit our trucks very well though and they don't seem to be working on one. I use a California Car Cover that was a gift and apart from the holes I busted thru for the outside rear view mirrors, it fits like a glove. Terry

Hi Martinius, Go to Coverking.com they have covers designed for pickups. Be sure to check that the one you pick is waterproof. Hope this helps. Glenn
