This is not My Truck, but I Figured Ya'll might Enjoy Seeing it anyways. While Working down in Birmingham, AL I came across this Ol Girl at the local Caterpillar Dealership. Jim
Hi Nate, It is the original 6 that GM gave it. The Owner said He bought it in Florida some years ago, and that it was forestry or military vehicle.....and ity has just over 14000 miles on it. He takes it to Shows every now and then He said, and They have a Cool trailer to haul it in, the rear door has a murial of the truck on it so it looks like the Door is open going down the road. Think I have a pic of the trans/transfer too. Last pic is of Myself and Good Friend Tony at the same CAT Dealer, thats Me on the right, Tony is 1 of My Biggest displayers at My Show (Vintage Pride) Antique tractor & Engine Show. Jim
Thanks for sharing those photos, really a nice looking truck and Ten. Do you have an old Best or Holt somewhere around the back of the shop?
No sure don't, I did have a 1940-41 Cat D-2 Diesel with pony motor and 6 way mechanical blade, now that I have this Show I wish I had it back.Right now My garage is stuffed with My 55 Chevy pickup with the big back glass...A project I Hope to Finish in late spring.Life on the Road leaves little time for Family,Home, and Projects.Right now I'm in Petersburg, VA next week I'm going to be in Cleveland, OH, and after that I'm suppose to be in Baltimore, MD. And Thanks to Great sites like this one, I can stay Focused when Time Allows. Jim
