All, I could use a little help....searched the forum, looked through the factory assembly manual, and googled every option that I could think of, all with no luck.....so now I have come to seek the wisdom of the Guru's. Getting ready to put the 54 cab back on the original frame and purchased the cab mount kit from CP. The bolts and the square pads go up front but where do the eight rubber spacers go? The body mounting shackles only have four holes. What am I missing? As always, your help is appreciated. Thanks, JP
I have a set of the rubber bushings shown in my toolbox. Don't they go in each hole of the shackles ?
Guru's advise I just got the cab mount kit myself, and wasn't sure of where the rubber spacers go either. Look forward to seeing your replies. Thanks
There are only four holes total across both body mounting shackles. With eight rubber bushings / spacers there must be places for the others to go? I am sure some will enlighten us. Thanks again everyone for the feedback.
Usually on bushings with a shoulder it means one is inserted into each end of the hole (think shock bushings) so 4 holes take eight bushings.
Ah.... so they are a part of the shackles. I was trying to find a place for them between the cab and the shackle mount thinking it would absorb some of the metal to metal shock and squeak. Got it! Thanks so much for your help.
Thanks everyone for all the information. Going to put on the parts this weekend. Could not have done it without your help.
