There's an awesome thread over on the HAMB entitled "Vintage shots from days gone by!" It is over 1100 pages, it has had over 22,000 replies and over 3,000,000 views. I've kept up with it as time permits and have saved over 100 pictures that have both Chevy and GMC "AD" trucks in them. The pictures are, in my opinion, both educational and very entertaining. With ya'lls permission, I'd like to share a few. If you like what you see, let me know, if you don't, I'll let it die. Let me know if you think these are worthy. Ken
Coool Very cool, Ken, carry on posting them. It´s great, to see these trucks working or partying. Thanks for sharing.
More proof Notice the only shot of a babe is the last one? Leaning against WHAT brand of AD? What's up with the guy in the 2nd to last photo? Peeing in his pants? Must be a Chevy thing...
Also notice the toddler behind her, those things are Fertility Gods or Aphrodesiac's....Ask Wolf??? Nice pictures Ken. Flashlight
Very Good ! I love the 6 Banger Chevy towtruck yanking a Brand 'F' out of the snowy ditch in 1958.....
That looks like a whole truck load of brand "F"s being pulled out of a ditch. Great pictures, Thank you
Yeah I love that tow truck too. Did you notice the double front bumper and "bowtie" grille guard? More to come. Ken
Thanks for sharing Ken Beautifull in one word. Thanks fore sharing Ken. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428585
#3 is absolutely a beautiful truck! IIRC the "motorama" trucks would go around to festivals such as the Circleville (Ohio) Pumpkin Show and show off GM stuff. The semi tractors would have whitewall tires, full hubcaps and tons of chrome. The one I remember seeing was a 56 or 57.
Beutifull Was there a better looking truck ever made? With that big chrome grill. Love these pictures Ken.
Yes ~ Of course ; you must have forgotten the 1937 light duty Chevrolets with the waterfall grille.... I'm drooling at these pictures , brings back so many good memories of working in a gas station as a lad .
