we love your pictures overhere gives us that sodapop feeling again Here are some pictures of my projects and some of shows we were
Tony, nice! I'm curious on the beautiful "F" brand truck! Hinged hubcap on the spare tire. Is that a hidden gas tank filler? Love the yellow COE too! Thanks for sharing. Ken
No show I was going to post a picture of Ken and his '50 taken at the first car show of the season, just a couple of miles from his house. But Ken didn't show up. I really am starting to think that he doesn't have a truck and is just too embarrassed to say so after all these years of talking about it. I know I've never seen it. He had some lame excuse about a customer calling him at the last minute and inviting him on a fishing trip Saturday morning. We all know how much Ken hates to fish. The weather turned bad (at least for those with garage queens) so the show was put off until Sunday. I left Ken a message on his cell phone that he could now attend Sunday. Damned if he didn't come up with another excuse, something about helping a co-worker of his wife's move. Whatcha want to bet they didn't use his (probably imaginary) '50 truck to haul her furniture?
Brand 'F' Madness..... NOOOoooooooo ! nononononononono ~ Stop doing that to me the " Bull Nose ' 1938 Brand 'F' trucks are Sooooooo beautiful ~ if only they had OHV Babbit Pounders under the hood . .
This reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw not long ago. "Yes, this is my truck. No, I won't help you move".
mea culpa, mea culpa I'd like to apologize to the group for being a little rough on Ken. Turns out he had more than an excuse to miss the Sunday show. He was out doing very charitable duty. Ken and I interact outside of this forum and tend to act like a couple of teenage brothers trying to get the best of each other. I'm afraid that I let our kidding spill over onto the forum where it might not be understood. I'll try to be a good boy.
Bill, I hope you and Ken continue the good natured ribbing. There are some familial aspects of this forum that I would miss greatly if they were gone. I am sure that Ken will be back at sparring soon. Gater
Gater, don't worry about that! Bill and I are cool. I have already got a plan together to get Hanlon back! His office is less than a mile and a half from my house and I plan to circle his compound daily in my truck and see if he's quick enough to spot me! Hanlon, clean your glasses and let me know if your best view is overlooking Louetta or the feeder road of 249! If his office wasn't so secured, I'd throw some fish bones in the bed of his truck!
Allow me, Bill I start to wonder what's up with someone who has such a "pretty" truck, but never posts up action shots or talks about driving here or there. My suggestion would be to make sure Ken hasn't mounted a life sized cardboard cutout of his truck to the side of his "other" truck to make it look like he is driving that AD of his. Boy, if I lived close to Ken... ...then I could check out that beautiful G of yours, Bill!
You know Zig, in the time it took you to think this up, you could have been doing something constructive like WORKING ON YOUR TRUCK! Focus son, focus! Ken
Ken: I'm heading to Colorado tonight to fall down mountains with boards on my feet with my GrandKidz. Please hold off on the fish until I return.
I plan to leave my GMC on the second level of the HP garage off the Jones Road entrance while I'm out of town. I doubt that POS 216 that you claim to have would make it up the ramp.
Once upon a time... Way back in 2008, that was a 235. The paint dried and it's shriveled up now to the size of a 216. By the way, add spider webs and a mountain of dust to imagine how that block looks now... Sigh~
Naw, it came out of a '62 panel truck. The valve cover had major dents in it, so we replaced it with an undented one! Who knew I'd take so much grieve about it! It's a sleeper!
