I live in the sticks Russ. :) We have a Carquest, Napa and an O'Reilly's.......all of which do not stock much.

Closest well stocked parts store is 100 miles away!!

My orig. fuel guage is running on 12v. I can't speak for anyone else's. Everything else should be fine, except the blower motor and the light bulbs.

    Hey guys,

don´t worry about the strange comments, this seems to be a fake account.
When you look at it, you see, that he "answered" to any thread with some sort
    of rubbish.

Happens every now and than at various forums.
Just tell the administrator, to cancel this account...;)

Two steps forward, 1 step back.

I fabbed an alternator mount of the old generator mount and used a 43" fan belt. Got it all mounted up. Turns out the water pump that was sitting in the back of the truck leaks too. So close.

Bought a new 12V battery and some headlights at Walmart. Picked up a 12V coil with an internal resister at Napa. Bolted it all up. I figured since the fan switch was off the motor would be safe.......guess not. The fan runs all the time......and it only took minutes at 12v to smoke it.

I did find this awesome GMC while chasing roosters today though......I need to find the owner and see if I can buy the visor.

Don't you just hate days like that.

Those two pictures are awesome. Both framing material. Hope you can score on the visor.

Thanks. The truck picture is taken with my big camera, Nikon D90 with a 70-200 lense.

The other picture was taken with my phone.......crazy the technology in those things.

    Great shots indeed,

the one with the truck instantly became my new wallpaper, if you don´t mind;)

Good luck with the visor, i wouldn´t mind having one myself, but pretty hard to come by around here...
