Hello I'm working on a 51 that i have had for several years we welded the cab mounts on and now have lost the instructions its a AD early kit .I saw on a site where you have used these kits I'm willing to buy those instructions if you can help Thank You
Im not dead! Still cranking away at vehicles of all types and painting Wild Wing Cafe restaraunts. Im on Facebook, Russ Petty. come find me.
Hi Russ ; Glad to hear you're doing O.K. . facebook is a bad place to be sooner or later you'll get bit hard and understand why the kiddies are abandoning it .
The 53 is back from Fla, getting a little R+R and some upgrades. My 51 is in need of a heart transplant...I fear a bearing went douth.....ls swap time!
She's had a 350 since 06..... Might have spun a bearing while taking the boy to school. Now getting an LS. My 700r4 will go to my sons 76 squarebody stepside.
I'm constantly amazed by the Corvettes in Pick-A-Part junkyards, this means cheap Hot Rod power for anyone .
It's not even Corvette's so much anymore, as their drivetrains have become more 'exotic' over the years. Plain old half-ton Silverado's and Sierra's (1999 to 2013) yield all the drivetrain you can ask for. The "LS craze" is what the "small block Chevy craze" was not too many decades ago.
Ol Chebby, Thanks for your earlier writeup on the AD front end assembly. I'm currently modifying my '52 AD radiator support and was wondering, as I can't remember: What bolts to the upper left and right upper bolt mounts on the front of the radiator support? In your old photo you show two bolts screwed partially into the support. I plan on cutting those nut inserts out so I can flush mount my radiator "ears" to the back side of the front of the support channel to move the radiator forward. I just don't want to run into more problems. I thought the grille mounted there but I'm unsure.... Thanks for the info! Brian
