help! need diff for my one ton.

    okay i understand the carrier or pumpkin from a 67-72 3/4T differential from a pickup that came with a big block and automatic; nearly always a 3.73 rear end will fit. 5.14 has got to go.
    anyone in canada or northern states got one of these?

    Do you have any salvage yards around you? There is this cool link that some fine feller posted here that allows you access to salvage yard inventories. I need to find that and send it your way. I'm going to be all over that when I'm financially ready to get a new rear end for my truck.

    i just did the same thing to my 1950 3800. i used a ho52 or ho72 from a 70's blazer. craigslist 100$. left the axle in place just swapped the pumpkin. wasnt all that bad of a job.
