I use the minis, smaller footprint to install, but they are identical harnesses. The larger uses a GM style fusebox. Mount it with velcro or on a hinged panel to avoid standing on your head in the dark in the rain to find which fuse is blown.
well dad let me put the '50 up on the lift. down came the vette the throw out bearing is makin way too much noise so guess the tranny is comin out. while it was up there realized the master cylinder is leakin. of course a 1/2 one is 30 bucks on rockauto. 3/4 is 90 bucks. soooo can the tranny come out? while i have it apart ill put the new bell housing on
Skeeter, Those are great looking rims/caps and tires you have on the truck. Did you get all the old paint off the other parts? Charles
the hub caps are a lil din'd up. only thing left to get paint of is in front of the doors and the bed sides. front 2 fenders are off another truck so ill paint them blue. one fenders off ol mothertrucker joe
By the time you get it on the road it will be a great . Keep up the good work and photos coming. Thanks for sharing. Charles

more work! decided to pull the motor after pullin the trans and gettin a good look at the cracked bell housing. decided i had a better one so i might as well replace it now. the clutch and all looks good. replacin the throw out bearing still. havin a car lift made pullin the trans and motor easy. used the lift as a cherry picker bout to order a bunch of parts from our host.
I dont know about you, but Murphy's law always follows me around... What can go wrong will go wrong. So you are probably doing it right by fixing it now. I just placed an order from the host too, hope shipping is fast!
yep murphys law is a beetch. you can see in the picture the crack. it was bad and had to come out before something bad happened. this is the like 6th? order ive placed from the host. they need a rewards program. ive spent a lot of money thru them hahaha
Classic Parts orders and customer service A couple of years ago, (too close to Christmas), I ordered about $1000.00 parts from our host. UPS delivered them to someplace, but it wasn't my house. I called and reported it to Classic Parts, and in 2 days had the entire order re-shipped with no problems. Otherwise I've not had any issues with them. They took care of me quite well. I purchased the majority of my parts from our host. BTW, if you'll use the word 'stovebolt' in the coupon box when ordering you'll get 5% off. I have each time I've used it.
wow thats awesome they reshipped it to you. and good to know on the code. i was thinking they should have a lil discount for us forum users. haha
Thats awesome. And the host's prices seem to be better than many other places I have looked, for most things (compared to LMC, Brothers, Ecklers, Chev of the 40s etc). 5% is better than 0%, but I agree with Skeeter, maybe a preferred customer club is in order.
thanks Joe, a buddy of mine in tucson gave me one he had layin around BUt do you have any floor shifters. i wanna modify mine but need a back up cause it looks casted.
