Thanks guys, I also had a guy with 30 years in the body paint trade told me to fill the gap in with weld then go over with the fiberglass strand filler then finish it off with a thin coat of bondo. I will read up on the metal filler stuff see what the difference is between the fiberglass filler an the metal filler.. Thanks
You can weld it in, just go slowly and cool often to avoid warping and causing more body filler work.
Looks good. Any issues with it lining up? I have mine off, haven't gotten to attempt putting it back on yet.
It lined up pretty good. I had to trim some off going down the door jam because it over lap about halfway down to the bottom not, that big of a deal though.
