I'm restoring a 51, and found a radio for sale locally for $50. It hasn't been tested. Any opinion on value, and can they be repaired?

    Repaires of old AD radio.

    Hey there

You paid a nice price fore the unrestored 6 volts ad radio:) I`ll gues it will cost you some bucks to repair it your self. Depending on the parts you have to buy offcourse.

Found this information on the Stovebolt site.

I missed out on the $50 radio, but found a model 490 GM Autoradio. I looked through the Old Chevy Online Manuals and didn't see this model as usable in the AD trucks. Anyone know anything about this one?
