Working the 235.
Not wanting another "bent 8" I chose to retain the 235 engine and make a few subtle upgrades to get the most out of it's original design. Emphasis was on TORQUE so the bore was a modest .060, the cam was custom "RV" grind, some head work, full-flow oiling and of course a full rotational balancing, along with a pair of Carter/Webers and Fenton headers improve the breathing. Power feeds to a .72 T5 to a 3.42 R&P and a 28.5" rear tire. She cruises at 2100 rpms@70 mph, and average mileage is 17.5. This was not built as a show truck but holds her own with the pack.
