      ol' chebby;

      The 1963 truck is showing 63 inches in the front and 61 inches in the rear versus the 1954 which has 57.5 in the front with 61.25 in the rear measuring from the center of tire to center of tire. So would the additional 5 inches in the front create a problem that requires major adjustments or would it just fit within the existing fender well? 2.5 inches per side doesn't seem like a lot but is it enough to create the skateboard effect? The rear dimensions are almost identical. The frame for the 1963 is 180" overall length and the frame for the 1954 is 173" overall length. How would the 7" difference affect the swap. If I am getting too far outside of your area of interest then let me know and I will cease and desist.

      Thanks;
      David

      The major issue is that the newer truck may have a wider track width, possibly giving the skateboard effect. Get out the tape measure and see.
