I am searching for a working or rebuildable original radio for my 1954, does anybody have one for sale or know of any for sale? thanks, I appreciate your help.
I found a great guy in Great Falls, MT that rebuilt my '48 radio: Allan 406.452.5025. Good luck, Larry
thanks I will give him a call, but I do not currently have a radio to send him to rebuild so I am searching for one to buy.
'54 radios Hard to find (hen's teeth). Pricey when you find one. The one thing on a '54 that is really valuable. The radio. Good luck. Jim
Depending on your originality requirements and your ability to pay, you might consider this .... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1954...ryZ80741QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Maybe you could use your "economic stimulus" check to pay for it. Where does that money come from, anyway? I know I'm not getting one. The Infernal Revenue Service says I made too much last year. Sorry for the political rant.
Bill: thanks I have looked at those radios but I found a service that will rebuild/update an original radio which is why I am looking for one-I missed one on ebay last weekend. I feel your pain, we too were not allowed to participate in the stimulation of the economy, or I might have bought a new radio.
Lest we forget, the stimulus came from our pockets. The reason that the government decided to "help" us with our own money is very simple. It is an election year. The way it sounds, those who make so much that they didn't get one will have the opportunity to distribute their wealth to those who sit on their butts. We have the opportunity to reshape our country in November. Let's be careful that the new shape doesn't resemble a pile of cow crap. Gater
check this page out!!! http://www.oldchevytrucks.biz/47_55/full.asp?page=144 some new production old radios.
no problem, i live close to them, well like 35 miles away so not too bad. They are where i got my front huck brake shoes for my 52 3/4 ton. Let me know how that works out, I would like to do an original style of radio also. When, if you order from them, ask for a catalog. They cost $5 but they are free if you buy something. Brian
