Looking forward to the car show at the park tomorrow! It is supposed to be beautiful weather, so hopefully the turnout will be a great one. No, my truck is still the same as months ago... Someday. Enjoy the day and remember the veterans.
A few pictures it is~ I gotta say, I am really impressed with our car show! I remember when it was a third the size of last year and this year. Also, the cars were basically the same every year. Apparently not any more. Yes, I put some repeats in, but only because I had to.
So, I thought I would put the for sale signs in here just in case some of you have money burning a hole in your pocket. I had a real good chat with the guy that has the really nice silver Chevy pick up. (In shade) He had bought l-o-t-s of stuff through Classic Parts, but was unaware of this forum. I told him he needs to get on here and share some knowledge/more photos! (I had more that I took, but the truck was in the shade and my pictures turned out so dark, you can't really tell what you are looking at. :/ ) Anyway, what a show! That first silver GMC belongs to Rob (Shotwheels). He is a member here, if you remember. Nice to see his G back on the road! Hope you all enjoy the pictures~ Now time to get on with the day.
Zig, nice pics! Funny how you got the sunshine, and we got INCHES of rain on the fourth. Spent the day fishing (yes, in the rain). better than a day at work! Found out a young man I mentored back in his senior year of high school will be receiving the Medal of Honor (one of only 9 living soldiers in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars to receive such honors), and will receive it from the Commander in Chief himself... It is for him and ALL the men and women who fight and have fought for our freedom that the flag flies in my yard.
Just like Dad's That turquoise Impala looks just like the first car I remember - 1960 4 door turquoise with the white roof! Thanks for sparking the memories of foot fights with my brother in the enormous back seat.
Remembering Our Veterans They shall never be forgotten on my watch . As it turns out I took a long drive through The Sta. Monica Mountains in my Metropolitan Nash FHC . I out ran 3/4 of the ' Sports Cars " , IMO because they're afraid to drive them properly . I was home before sunset , this year there was far less gunfire than usual , a good thing IMO . When I were a laddie living in Rural New Hampshire , fishing in the rain was always good , we had a HUGE old pine tree on one bank to sit underneath so we didn't get wet until walking home . Fresh catfish ! YUMMY .
