This thread is a sideline to my 3 speed OD conversion. I'm beginning to think this is a viable solution.

I researched the Hurst catalog. They have some shifters with brackets that will go all the way back to my 1955-57 application. The T-handle with a red switch in it would be sweet to engage and disengage the OD!

I am pretty sure this is a Saginaw but want to double check the ID's. Its only got 4 bolts on the coverplate. ID# 3849534 9GM, RIOM-1 W.G.DIV. B-15-4 N2

"W. G. Div." stands for Warner Gear Division of Borg Warner. The only thing I came up with on the casting #3849534 was that it corresponds with covers used on '64-66 Chevelles.

Hope that points you in the right direction.

    Thanks Ken,

Borg Warner...I wonder if just the overdrive tailpiece is Borg Warner.
I don't think they made overdrives for the 64-66 Chevelle's. I will try to get with Hurst maybe they can further illuminate. Again your help greatly appreciated.
