Trojan horses

Not sure what happened last night but my virus protection stopped 8 different attacks. I use two different programs, AVG stopped 6 and the other Malwarebytes found two more. Did anyone else have that or similar issue happen?

Malware and virus

Yep

I cleaned the pc thouroughly this week. Reason is a malware named Ad-Aware service 11 a fake program that is difficult to sweep out but i managed it by going into the secure start up network program and stopped it to function , function F8 when starting Your computer.
Do not use newer Ad-Aware antivirus programs combined with Windows XP or later Windows versions is my advice as they slow down your internal prosessor much.

Windows Essentials ( quite good)
Spybot search & distroy 6.0 Free version
Avira Free Version
CCleaner (Windows internal clean)Free Version.
Revo uninstaller free trial Version ( good program).

Been keeping the bugs out for years with these. Do this every week once or when needed. Recommendation is to setup your firewall in high allert
Cookees website provider at midle alert . Upgrade your anti spyware/malware program once a week.
Let your program administrator deside weather you want to apply to a program/webside or not.
Use only original software programs and be carefull with downloading pirate copies.
Make a system backup or use an external harddrive.

I would suggest that only have ONE anti-virus program installed on your computer. Two just drags the operating system down. It is amazing how many people don't think they have more than one .... but actually do.

I found Spybot a good and free anti malware detector.

With Windows ... always make sure your system restore is turned off before running the above. The bad stuff likes to hide in those files. Once done, then go back and turn it back on.

Ideally boot to safe mode before running the above programs to by-pass your temporary swap file.

Glary Utilities is another old favorite. Does a good job and it is still free.

CCleaner is another very good free cleaner.
