It's not a garage, or a barn, but, I'll call it a tool...

And tools are allowed. Stopped by a trailer sales place and found a leftover, 2014, but new, car hauler trailer.
So, I traded my 16'plus2', steel Liberty trailer...

    For this...

100_5382.JPG Featherlite, 20', optional 4800lb axles, torsion suspension, etc.
There was nothing really wrong with my old trailer, hauled the Jeep on it, but, steel and wood versus all aluminum is sort of like apples and oranges.
Got what I think was a fantastic deal on it, and, had my wifes full approval.:D

    Steve.
P.S. The fact that a 2014, was still on the lot says something about the US economy.

Thanks, guys. My wife was just making fun of me for posting pics. of my new trailer on this forum. She thinks trailers are boring.

I actually have a partial business use for it. And, I figured it would keep more value over the long term.

    Steve.

P.S. She posts recipes, and home decorating ideas on her forums.

Steve, Are you planning to keep it stored inside out of the elements?

Well, I want to, but, my shop is FULL. I'm going to try to re-configure things, and gain some space.
Next summer, if things go well, I want to build another small shed to store mowers, etc. I would like to have another pole barn built to store my two semi-trailers in, plus other larger items. I doubt that will happen, at my age, because I probably will not need that much storage for many more years.
The weather shouldn't affect the aluminum, much, but, it is hard on tires.
Honestly, the one thing that concerns me about it is, leaving it un-attended away from home. Like I had to do with the Liberty trailer last Sept., in Colorado Springs.

FWIW: I bought some really nice trailer tire covers at Tractor Supply since my trailer is sitting outside awaiting it's new home to be finished. Ordered them online and had them shipped to the store. They have a couple different sizes and fit and look good. Classic Accessories Overdrive RV Wheel Cover, Snow White, 32 in. to 34-1/2 in. Wheel Diameter, 9 in. Tire Width - For Life Out Here

And as far as leaving the trailer unattended... it is very shiny and visible..... maybe buy one of those trailer tongue lock gizmo's so if somebody wants to steal it they'll at least have to work at it.

Thanks, John. I bought one of those tongue locks, fits good and snug.
Might run a cable lock through the wheels also...

Thought about making the kids go out and spray the tires with armor-all every week, this winter...
